Austin Butler reveals he auditioned for THIS role in ‘Hunger Games’ | Pro Hub of News

Austin Butler recently disclosed that he auditioned for a leading role in The Hunger Games but unfortunately didn’t land the part.

Speaking with BuzzFeed Celeb, the 32-year-old actor revealed his experience, stating, “I auditioned for The Hunger Games, and I didn’t get it at all. I didn’t even get a callback. I was trying out for the role of Peeta.”

Butler graciously acknowledged Josh Hutcherson, who eventually secured the role alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth, saying, “He’s great.”

Reflecting on his approach to securing roles, Butler had previously shared with Variety about his journey in landing the role of Elvis in an upcoming movie. “From the outset, I knew Baz doesn’t just do auditions, he does workshops,” Butler explained. “I knew it would be a process. I focused on the work and avoided getting too attached to the idea of it being my part.”
