Aaron Dessner, a producer Taylor Swift collaborated with on her latest album “The Tortured Poets Department,” recently shared his thoughts on the project. On April 19, Dessner, who is 47 years old, posted on Instagram about his excitement and honor in working with the 34-year-old pop superstar on her eleventh studio album. He confirmed his role as a producer on the double album, which was released at midnight on that day.

Dessner mentioned that he and Swift had been working on the album’s songs for over two years, during which they recorded over 60 songs together, with 17 included in the album. He praised Swift’s talent as a songwriter, describing the songs as lyrically acute, intricate, vulnerable, and cathartic. He also expressed astonishment at her skills as a performer.

The album surprised fans by featuring two parts with a total of 32 songs, including 15 additional tracks beyond what was initially expected.
