According to a close friend of Kate Middleton, the Duchess is eager to resume an active and normal routine following her cancer diagnosis, as reported by The Sunday Times.

The friend explained that Kate felt a responsibility to address her health publicly because of her role and leadership responsibilities. They noted, “She felt she had to do it because of who she is. It was more about acknowledging her public figure status and broader leadership role.”

Additionally, the friend mentioned, “She also wants to maintain as active and normal a routine as possible.”

These insights were shared in response to Kate’s Instagram video where she disclosed details about her medical journey. In the video, Kate revealed, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, initially believed to be non-cancerous. However, subsequent tests revealed the presence of cancer. Following successful surgery, my medical team recommended preventative chemotherapy, which I am currently undergoing.”
