Muni Long makes shock admission about Rihanna: ‘You wouldn’t think’ | Pro Hub of News

According to a recent interview with Complex, singer-songwriter Muni Long, previously known as Priscilla Renea Hamilton, shared the story behind Rihanna’s hit song “California King Bed,” which she reportedly wrote in a short amount of time. Long revealed that the inspiration for the song came during a break from shopping online for furniture.

During the interview, Long explained that she was interrupted by someone asking about the progress of the song, which was originally intended for Kelly Clarkson. With the chords already in place, Long quickly got to work after being handed the file.

“I was actually online looking for furniture when Maine comes in the room,” Long recalled. “And he’s like, ‘What you got?’ I didn’t have anything, because I had been messing around, and I looked at my computer. I said, ‘California King Bed,’ and he said, ‘OK,’ and then he left. So I was like, ‘Oh, now I gotta write that,'” she humorously added.

Despite the impromptu nature of the request, Long managed to write the song in just 10 minutes, eager to get back to her furniture search. Rihanna, who was on tour at the time, recorded the song, and the rest is history.

Reflecting on Rihanna’s involvement, Long expressed admiration, stating, “She was on tour at the time, but she cut the song, and the rest is history. You wouldn’t think that she would do something like that.”
